Fifty years ago—on April 4, 1968 at approximately 6:01pm CT—our nation’s greatest peacemaker was snatched by a sniper’s bullet at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. That shot would reverberate throughout the world.
On April 4, 2018, the world will remember Dr. King's legacy with a 50th anniversary commemoration & moment of silence led by the National Civil Rights Museum. Join us in Detroit for "Death of a King: Timeline, Tribute & Task" led by Jeffrey Nolish, Orlando Bailey & friends to reflect on his work and look to the future.
